John Tyler grad Tyus Bowser goes No. 47 to Baltimore Ravens in NFL Draft

Working out with Greg Ward, Fred Ross and Justice Liggins on Friday, Tyus Bowser told his former John Tyler teammates where he’d like to go after missing out on being drafted in the first round of the NFL Draft. Later that night, he got his wish. An excited draft party fell silent around 7:20 p.m. Friday when Bowser received the call. A few minutes later the University of Houston outside linebacker’s name was called as the 15th pick of the second round by the Baltimore Ravens, setting off raucous celebrations.
