Late Garrison safety seals 28-27 win over Gorman after midnight

Bishop Gorman and Garrison kicked off at 7 p.m. and finished shortly after midnight. Despite a 2.5-hour weather delay, plenty happened in those five hours. With a safety in the closing minutes, Garrison pulled out a 28-27 victory over Gorman in in early minutes of Sunday morning at McCallum Stadium.

Turning point: In a tie game, 7-7, late in the first quarter, REL fumbled in the red zone. The Red Raiders D, however, did not allow Marshall to do anything with its possession. When Lee got the ball back, facing a third-and-6 from the Mavericks 39, QB Chance Amie connected with Keashun Davis for a TD. The Red Raiders never looked back after that.
