All Saints' Kastmo named to TAPPS 4A all-state volleyball first team

For the second straight year, All Saints middle blocker Katrina Kastmo was named first-team all state in TAPPS 4A volleyball.

Kastmo, a senior, was also selected academic all-state.

Grace Community senior Rilee Miller was named to the 4A all-state second team. Miller led the Lady Cougars in assists (567), kills (169), digs (184) and aces (106). Miller has orally committed to Tyler Junior College.

In TAPPS 3A, Bullard Brook Hill’s Samantha Anderson was tabbed all-state second team. The sophomore middle averaged 3.5 kills and 1.0 block per set.

Anderson’s teammate, Abigail Baker, earned honorable mention as a senior libero. Baker was also an academic all-state selection, joined by fellow seniors Alyssa Eden and Baylee Rozell from the Lady Guard.

East Texas Christian Academy’s Shannon Stewart, a senior middle blocker, earned honorable mention for the Lady Panthers, who had three academic all-state selections. In addition to Stewart, senior Amy Riggle and junior Brittany Beaver earned the statewide scholastic honor.
