Gorman, Grace girls finish in top 10 at state cross country meet

WACO β€” Led by Sharon Kariampuzha, the Bishop Gorman Lady Crusaders turned in a top 10 finish at the TAPPS state cross country championships on Saturday.

Sharon Kariampuzha finished 11th overall to lead the Lady Crusaders to an eighth-place finish in TAPPS 4A. She finished the two-mile race in 13 minutes, 3.1 seconds.

Caroline Rook led Grace Community to 10th place, finishing 22nd overall (13:24.4).

The Crusaders took 12th overall in the boys meet, led by Nicholas DiPaolo, who took 35th by finishing the 5K race in 18:10.8. All Saints took 18th as a team.

In Class 3A, the Bullard Brook Hill boys finished 14th.
