John Tyler defensive end Tyus Bowser has decommitted from Oklahoma State University, JT football coach Ricklan Holmes said on Tuesday.
Last week Bowser orally committed to the Stillwater, Okla., school, but decided to open up his options. He would like to play both football and basketball on the collegiate level.
The 6-3, 230-pound defensive end with 4.5 speed led the JT defense during a run to the Class 4A Division I state semifinals.
Holmes said Bowser is considering SFA, Houston, Northwestern State, Southeastern Louisiana and Memphis, among others.
Before committing to OSU, Bowser said he considered such schools as Texas Tech, West Virginia, Missouri, and Louisiana-Lafayette, among others.
