BULLARD β€” The Brook Hill girls and boys hoops groups picked up district wins over Richardson Canyon Creek in TAPPS 4-3A play on Tuesday night at the Herrington Sports Complex.

Samantha Anderson led the Lady Guard (10-6, 2-0), to a 49-23 win, scoring 16 points and grabbing 14 rebounds in limited playing time. The Brook Hill starters checked out at the 4:04 mark of the third quarter, returning sparingly as the bench played the youthful Lady Cougars (0-2).

The boys chalked up a league win in convincing fashion with a 79-49 win in the finale behind four players in double-digits, led by Chase McDermott’s 23 points.
