Snider captures bout

HURST — Tyler’s Shamarian “Duke” Snider won a unanimous decision over Chris Medina in a cruiserweight fight Friday at the Hurst Convention Center.

The two-time state amateur heavyweight champion won the four-round bout 40-36 on one scorecard. The other two judges scored the fight 39-37 in favor of Snider.

Snider improved to 2-0 with the win, following up a victory in his pro debut two months earlier over John Shipman.
