TEXARKANA — Sharde Collins had 22 points and Imani Wright added 17 to help guide Liberty-Eylau past Bishop Gorman, 72-61, in a UIL vs. TAPPS showdown Tuesday.
The Lady Leopards raced out to a 12-point lead in the first quarter, but watched the Lady Crusaders pull within one by halftime and three in the fourth quarter.
Michelle Obach scored a game-high 31 points to lead Gorman, which fell to 5-2 on the season and faces Frisco Legacy on Thursday in All Saints’ Bruce G. Brookshire Basketball Classic at All Saints.
Wright recently signed a national letter of intent with defending national champion and top-ranked Baylor.

COMO — Marisa Ledkins and Jordan Dawson scored 12 points each to lead Mineola past Como-Pickton, 69-15, on Tuesday.
Mineola, which improved to 7-0, raced out to a 22-2 lead in the first quarter en route to entering halftime ahead 43-8.
Ledkins also recorded nine steals and three assists.
Mineola’s Ali Galaz pulled down a team-high six rebounds, while teammate Raven Johnson dished out five assists.
