TAPPS players competing in all-star games

Several Tyler TAPPS football players have been selected to compete in all-star games Saturday.

Bishop Gorman lineman Matthew Roe and Grace Community quarterback Blake White and receiver Lin Gillham will play in the DFW Tom Hillary All-Star Game on Saturday at Pennington Field in Bedford.

The Tyler trio will compete for the Dallas (white) team against the Fort Worth (blue) team. Kickoff is at 1:30 p.m. White and Gillham are confirmed starters.

Additionally, Grace receiver Statler Lewis and lineman Josh Boylan will play in the Ted “Rock” Knapp All-Star Game on Saturday at Houston St. Thomas.

The two Cougars will play for the Blue team. All Saints head coach Mike Hall will serve as an honorary head coach for the game.
