Tickets to the John Tyler vs. Wylie football game will be on sale today and Wednesday, Rod Kaspar, Tyler ISD athletic director, announced.
Tickets may be purchased from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day at the TISD Athletic Office at the Plyler Complex, 807 W. Glenwood.
Also, T&T Lewis, 903 W. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., will sell tickets during regular business hours.
Prices are $8 (reserved), $6 (adult) and $4 (students). The prices will be the same at the gate.
Also, Kaspar said JT season ticket holders have until noon today to pick up their tickets.
The Class 4A Division I playoff game is scheduled for 6 p.m. Friday on Earl Campbell Field at Trinity Mother Frances Rose Stadium.
The Lions will don their white “Cujo” jerseys while the Pirates will wear their customary black playoff jerseys inscribed with “Ahmo.”
The teams planned to play at Mesquite’s Hanby Stadium at 7:30 p.m. on Friday before a review of rules revealed Wylie owed JT a home game after hosting the Lions in the 2010 state quarterfinals.
Wylie defeated JT 20-16 in the previous meeting, scoring a go-ahead touchdown with 66 seconds remaining after the Lions lost a controversial fumble moments earlier deep in Pirates territory.
