Kade Clayton, Grace Community — The junior running back amassed 200 yards on 14 carries, scoring four times. Clayton also made 11 tackles — one for a loss — as the Cougars beat Bullard Brook Hill 48-14.

Ruben DeLong, All Saints — In his final game of high school football, the senior scored all four of the Trojans’ touchdowns. DeLong scored on runs of 40, 14 and 3 yards and returned an interception 40 yards to tie the game at 28 in the fourth quarter. He also had eight tackles, one sack and two tackles for loss, though All Saints ultimately lost to Austin St. Stephen’s 31-28 on a field goal in the final minute.

Fred Ross, John Tyler — The Lions senior receiver caught five passes for 105 yards and averaged 20 yards on a pair of punt returns in a 50-7 win over Nacogdoches.

Anthony Sanders, Athens — In the Hornets’ 42-13 win against Mineola, Sanders passed for four touchdowns, registered 11 tackles and recovered a fumble.

Darion Flowers, John Tyler — The senior caught two passes for 55 yards and intercepted a pass in the Lions’ win over Nacogdoches.


Tanner Barr, Gilmer — In the Buckeyes’ 57-39 win against Bullard, the Buckeyes quarterback passed for 171 yards and a touchdown while rushing for 127 yards and another score.

Brice Borgeson, All Saints — The sophomore rushed 12 times for 96 yards.

Dylan Cantrell, Whitehouse — In the Wildcats’ 54-28 win against Corsicana, the senior receiver caught six passes for 140 yards and a TD.

Colton Chadbourne, Winona — The running back had 19 carries for 238 yards and two touchdown in a 46-16 win against over Union Grove.

Jah Golden, Wills Point — In a 52-47 win against Kaufman, the receiver caught seven passes for 124 yards and a TD.

Seth Gibson, Troup — The Tigers running back stepped off 150 yards on 18 carries with two touchdowns.

Dominique Granville, Wills Point — The Tigers running back carried the ball 34 times for 181 yards and five touchdowns.

Brent Henderson, Bullard — The running back finished with 15 carries for 105 yards and two touchdowns.

Josh Jackson, Big Sandy — In a 26-3 win against Carlisle, Jackson produced 21 carries for 206 yards and two TDs.

Brandon Lackner, Bishop Gorman — The senior receiver hauled in seven passes for 87 yards.

Jamarcus McCowin, Chapel Hill — In the Bulldogs’ 17-6 triumph against Gladewater, McCowin ran for 113 yards to lead the way.

Patrick Mahomes, Whitehouse — The junior quarterback completed 20 of 30 passes for 341 yards and six touchdowns.

Derek Middleton, Winona — The running back finished with 18 carries for 126 yards and five touchdowns.

Jake Parker, Whitehouse — The junior receiver caught six passes for 88 yards and two scores. s

Chase Pemberton, Wills Point — The Tigers quarterback completed 18 of 27 passes for 303 yards and two touchdowns, finished with 13 carries for 106 yards.

Reese Sumner, Canton — The Eagles running back stepped off 151 yards and two scores on 13 attempts.

Greg Ward, John Tyler — The Lions senior signal-caller passed for 302 yards and four TDs and rushed for 67 yards in a win over Nacogdoches.

Blake White, Grace Community — The senior signal caller was an efficient 12 for 15 for 200 yards and three touchdowns. He also rushed six times for 40 more yards.

Jeffery Wilson, Elkhart — In the Elks’ 49-28 win against Palestine Westwood, Wilson finished with 31 carries for 334 yards and six touchdowns, plus passed for a 40-yard score.

Winona Offensive Line — The unit paved the way for 431 yards on the ground.


All Saints — The Trojans stop unit held St. Stephen’s to 177 total yards — 58 in the second half — and scored on an interception return in a narrow 31-28 loss to Austin St. Stephen’s.

Rodrick Arceneaux, Elkhart — The senior defensive lineman had eight tackles and three tackles for losses.

Morgan Bain, All Saints — The junior lineman recorded four sacks in addition to five other tackles.

Asher Boudreaux, Bishop Gorman — The senior defensive back recovered a fumble and intercepted a pass against undefeated Dallas Christian.

Tyus Bowser, John Tyler — The senior defensive end registered seven tackles and a sack, and recovered two fumbles in a win over Nacogdoches.

K.J. Cumby, Athens — The junior linebacker provided 11 tackles and an interception.

Richard Gipson, John Tyler — The senior linebacker notched 12 tackles and recovered a fumble in the Lions’ victory at Nacogdoches.

Devin Johnson, Winona — The Wildcats defender finished with 28 tackles (13 solo), a sack and a fumble recovery.

Adam Stallings, Athens — The junior linebacker had nine tackles and one fumble recovery.

Jordan White, Elkhart — The senior linebacker supplied 11 stops (three for losses) and one fumble recovery. s

Andrew McCarty, Grace Community — In a strong outing for the entire Cougars defense, McCarty stood out with 10 tackles, one sack and two tackles for loss. McCarty leads Grace with 79 tackles on the year.

Special Teams

Tyler Brown, Grace Community — The Cougars kicker boomed four kickoffs for touchbacks and made a touchdown-saving tackle on the only kick that didn’t reach the end zone.
