EMORY - Behind Shelbi Sheppard’s fourth triple-double in five matches, the Rains Lady Cats avenged their only district volleyball loss on Tuesday night when they disposed of visiting Brownsboro in four sets.

The Lady Cats prevailed 25-7, 25-21, 17-25, 25-21 in the District 13-4A match.

Leaders for the Lady Cats were: Shelbi Sheppard (16 kills, 23 assists, 14 digs, 4 blocks, ace), McKenna Hildebrandt (10 kills, 10 blocks), Aubrey Gowin (9 kills), Summer Nerkowski (8 kills, 19 digs, ace), Vivian Bradshaw (21 assists, ace), Elissa Elliott (15 digs), Presley McAree (12 digs), Kaitlin McIntyre (4 blocks),

The Lady Cats (24-11, 5-1) return to action Friday night when they travel to Mabank to face the Lady Panthers.

Bullard 3, Gladewater 0

BULLARD - The Bullard Lady Panthers swept the Gladewater Lady Bears, 3-0, on Tuesday in a District 15-4A volleyball match.

Bullard (24-10, 7-0) won 25-9, 25-9, 25-14.

Standouts for Bullard were: Sara McKeethan (6 kills, 16 digs), Ashlyn Meador (4 kills, 3 blocks), Keili Richmond (6 kills, 6 digs) and Destinee Dixon (11 assists, 4 digs).

Bullard won the JV (25-17, 25-17) and the freshmen (25-7, 25-12) matches.

Bullard plays host to Chapel Hill on Friday with matches beginning at 4:30 p.m.

Quitman 3, Alba-Golden 0

QUITMAN - Quitman stayed unbeaten in District 12-3A with a 3-0 volleyball victory over Alba-Golden on Tuesday.

The Lady Bulldogs won 25-21, 25-20, 25-15 to improve to 28-7 overall and 10-0 in league play.

Leaders for Quitman were: Kaci Raley (15 digs, 13 kills, ace), Molly Tanner (12 digs, 12 kills, 3 aces), Cammie Hicks (5 digs, kill, 37 assists), Madalyn Spears (15 digs, 10 kills, 5 aces) and Jentri Jackson (16 digs, 3 kills).

Quitman plays host to Kemp on Friday with first matches beginning at 4:30 p.m.

Troup 3, Winona 2

TROUP - The Troup Lady Tigers scored a 3-2 upset over No. 5 Winona on Tuesday in a District 15-3A volleyball match on Tuesday.

Troup won 25-20, 24-26, 25-23, 19-25, 15-7.

Standouts for the Lady Tigers (16-9) were Alex Flora (2 aces, 2 kills, 18 digs), Alyssa Flora (6 digs), Asia Parker (19 kills, 2 blocks, 7 digs), Jayla Starks (kill, dig), Kori Minnix (29 kills, 9 digs), Cheyenne Henson (2 aces, block, 6 digs), Natalie Davenport (2 aces, 3 kills, 42 assists, 15 digs), Jansen Reid (23 digs, assist) and Savanna Cox (12 digs).

Big Sandy 3, Hawkins 1

HAWKINS - The Big Sandy Lady Cats scored a 3-1 win over the Hawkins Lady Hawks on Tuesday in a District 19-2A volleyball match.

Big Sandy won 25-14, 25-18, 23-25, 25-21.

Standouts for Hawkins were: Emily Hodges (14 kills, 9 digs), Jaycee Cheshire (7 kills, 6 blocks), Lilly Long (13 assists), Raeli Smith (10 assists, 9 digs), Christian Harris (5 blocks) and Alyssa Eddington (17 digs).

Big Sandy won the JV match 2-1 (25-21, 23-25, 26-24).

Hawkins plays host to Union Hill on Oct. 17. Game time is set for 5 p.m.

Carlisle 3, Timpson 2

PRICE - The Carlisle Lady Indians rallied for a 3-2 win over the Timpson Lady Bears on Tuesday in a District 20-2A volleyball match.

Carlisle won 23-25, 15-25, 26-24, 25-16, 17-15.

Leaders for the Lady Indians (22-14, 6-3) were Heather Craig (25 kills, 20 digs), Aubrey Hart (22 kills, 12 blocks) and Jailin Kee (43 assists, 14 digs).

Carlisle visits Shelbyville at 4:30 p.m. Friday.

Dallas Christian 3, Brook Hill 0

GARLAND - Dallas Christian defeated Brook Hill Friday in their TAPPS District 3-5A match at Dallas Christian School. The Lady Chargers won, 25-16, 25-15, 25-15 to drop the Lady Guard to 1-3 in district.

Leaders for Brook Hill in the loss were Madeline Reed (4 kills), Maddie Anthony (3 kills, 8 assists, 11 digs), Kaitlyn Juarez (7 digs), Mary Roberts (7 digs) and Morgan Carpenter (4 aces).

In the JV match, Dallas Christian won 27-25, 25-21.
