Volleyball: Tyler Lee rallies from 2-1 down to grab road win at Longview

LONGVIEW - Tyler Lee rallied back from being down 2-1 on the road to defeat Longview on Friday in their District 11-6A volleyball clash at Lobo Coliseum.

Lee won 13-25, 25-23, 16-25, 25-20 and 15-5 to raise its overall record to 21-10.

With the win, the Lady Raiders moved to 5-2 in District 11-6A and next face Rockwall at home on Tuesday. The match is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. at the REL Varsity Gymnasium.

Ashley Oldham was nearly unstoppable in Friday’s comeback win over Longview. The senior outside hitter finished with a team-high 22 kills with only five hitting errors. She was held to one in Game 1 before averaging five kills in games 2-5.

Joining her to help lead the offense were senior April Brown (11 kills) and junior Macy Behm (7 kills).

The Lady Raiders also combined to serve 13 aces in the match, led by senior Blythe Heisey, who finished with a team-high seven aces. Setters Aliyah Shirley (25) and Ann Stone (20) combined for 45 assists.
