Lee soccer

Robert E. Lee is in the midst of a two-game skid that has dropped the Red Raiders (4-12, 12 points) from first to third place in the District 12-5A soccer standings.

Lee was outscored 5-1 in those two losses, but will look to turn things around as the second half of league play begins Tuesday with a home match against Rockwall-Heath. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. at Trinity Mother Frances Rose Stadium.

The Lady Raiders have never failed to make the playoffs in the program’s history, but if that streak is to continue, REL must gain maximum points from the majority of its remaining games.

That starts on the road Tuesday against Rockwall-Heath (1-4, 3 pts). The game is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Wilkerson-Sanders Stadium in Rockwall.

Lee (0-5-1, 2 pts) lost to Heath 2-1 in overtime in both team’s league opener.
