Robert E. Lee has come through its first four district soccer games unscathed and is tied for first place in the 12-5A standings.
After a bye week Friday, the Red Raiders (4-0, 12 pts) are back to work on Tuesday on the road at North Mesquite. The game is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Memorial Stadium in Mesquite.
The Stallions (2-1-1) are currently in fourth place with eight points from their four games.
North Mesquite is coming off a convincing 4-1 win over Rockwall-Heath on Friday. The Red Raiders (9-3-1 overall) beat Mesquite 7-3 last Tuesday, aided by three goals from senior Lumi Kaba.
Recently named a finalist for the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Player of the Week award, Kaba now has 19 goals in 13 games.
The Lee girls soccer team looks to break through in district with a home game against North Mesquite.
The game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Lee High School Soccer Field.
The Lady Raiders (0-4, 0 pts) were stopped 4-1 by Mesquite last Tuesday and last year’s district runner-up has been held to two goals in four District 12-5A games. North Mesquite (2-1-1) is currently in fourth place with seven points from their games and coming off a 3-1 win over Rockwall-Heath.
