THE WOODLANDS - Robert E. Lee girls soccer snapped its goal drought on Friday night, but has to wait at least one more day to snap its winless start to the season.

The Lady Raiders got a goal from Abby Tillson on an assist by Brissa Renteria, but it wasn’t enough in a 3-1 loss to Houston Bellaire at the Lady Highlander Invitational.

“As weird as it sounds, we actually played well tonight and should have won 3-1,” Lee coach Chris Woodard said. “We gave up some silly counter goals and (squandered) five 1v1 opportunities.”

REL (0-2) plays its third and final game of the three-day event on Saturday against O’Connor at 3 p.m. at Gosling Complex.
