Whitehouse wins Lindale golf tournament

LINDALE - The Whitehouse Wildcats, led by Walker LaRue’s 74, won the Lindale High School Golf Tournament on Nov. 7 at Garden Valley Golf Resort.

Whitehouse combined for a team score of 319.

Along with LaRue’s 74, other golfers on the Whitehouse team were Cade Dunn (79), Cason Hood (82), Jace Alexander (84) and Russ Tapley (85).

Arlington High was second at 324, followed by Carthage (326).

Mount Pleasant’s Rustyn Goolsby earned medalist honors with a 74, while Lindale’s Evan White, who recently signed a golf scholarship with Texas State-San Marcos, won the silver with a 74. LaRue took the bronze. A playoff was used to determine places.
