Apache Ladies golfers third

BRASELTON, Ga. - Tyler Junior College, led by Mathilda Bertuol, is third after Tuesday’s second round of the NJCAA Women’s National Golf Tournament at Chateau Elan Resort.

Daytona State College (Florida) leads the tournament with a 594 (300-294), followed by Seminole State-Florida (306-296-602), TJC (320-321-641), McLennan of Waco (320-326-646) and Iowa Western (330-332-662).

There are 18 schools entered. The third of four rounds is Wednesday.

Bertuol (75-79-154) is tied for 11th. Other TJC golfers include: Kimberley Beveridge (T15, 79-79-158), Jil Dokenwald (T32, 80-84-164), BoYoung Park (T47, 92-79-171) and Joy Dokenwald (T52, 86-88-174).

Peerada Piddon of Barton County (Kansas) leads the medalist race at 142 (71-71). Daytona State’s Jiwon Jeon is second at 145 (74-71), while Seminole State’s Tuan-Yu Chiang (76-71-147) and Iowa Western’s Sena Ersoy (75-72-147) are tied for third.
