McConnell, White win at Eagle's Bluff

BULLARD - Tyler’s Sydney McConnell and Hideaway’s Evan White captured All American Tour golf victories on Sunday at Eagle’s Bluff Country Club.

McConnell, who is on the Robert E. Lee golf team, was the overall girls champion as well as the Girls 15-18 winner.

McConnell had rounds of 78-80 for a 36-hole total of 158.

Annaka Watts, of Tyler, was second with a 163 (81-82). Mia Nixon, of Canton, took the bronze with a 169 (83-86).

White, a member of the state-bound Lindale High School team, won the overall boys title and the 15-18 division.

White carded a 140 (72-68). He won by 11 strokes over Mansfield’s Dax Wilson (74-77--151) and Arlington’s Sully Thompson (76-75--151).

Connor Adams, of Dallas, won the Boys 13-14 with a 155 (79-76). He was followed by Dallas’ Jack Watson (82-78-160) and Tyler’s CJ McConnell (99-83--182).

Dallas’ Benjamin DeLaRosa won the 12 & under division with a 153 (76-77). Wylie’s Miles Maresch (83-81--164) and Nacogdoches’ Brett Middlebrook (89-78--167) were next.

The next All American Tour event, The Golf North Texas 54, will take place June 7-8 at Sherrill Park Golf Course (No. 1 and No. 2) in Richardson.

The All American Tour is conducted by the Northern Texas PGA. The Tour will conduct 32 tournaments in 2017. This nationally ranked tournament series is open to Junior Tour Members ages 13-18 and 12 & Under with a higher level of tournament experience and ability.
