Martin’s Mill 57, Winnsboro 49

MARTIN’S MILL - Mollie Daniel had a game-high 18 points and Briley Moon added 16 as the Class 2A Martin’s Mill Lady Mustangs defeated the Class 3A No. 7 Winnsboro Lady Raiders, 57-49, on Tuesday.

Calli Camacho (11 points) and Abbie Orrick (10) were also in double figures as Martin’s Mill improved to 11-1.

Darcie Mabry led the Lady Raiders’ balanced scoring attack with 10 points. Taryn Davis added nine.

The game was tied 43-43 heading into the fourth period where the Lady Mustangs outscored Winnsboro 14-6.

All Saints 62, Troup 48

TROUP - Lauren Datwyler led All Saints with 16 points while teammate Trysten Mosley added 14 as the All Saints Lady Trojans defeated Troup, 62-48, Tuesday in a girls basketball game.

Kori Minnix led the Lady Tigers with 22 points with Asia Parker adding 11. Minnix added eight rebounds, while Parker had four steals. Renee Dennis had three rebounds with Ty Moon and Alyssa Hearon adding three assists each.

Hannah Widman contributed nine points for All Saints with Madison Findley adding six. Madeline Perkins, Shelby Phillips and Grace Wolfe all hit for five points.

All Saints competes in the Great East Texas Shootout this weekend. The Lady Trojans (8-2) open with Athens at 8 a.m. Thursday at the Intermediate School.

The Lady Tigers (7-2) are scheduled to play in the Harleton Tournament. On Thursday they have games scheduled at 10:30 a.m. (vs. De Kalb) and 3 p.m.

WHITEHOUSE - Riley Hester scored 17 points and Hope Cael and Makayla Moore combined for 25 as the Whitehouse LadyCats defeated the Bullard Brook Hill Lady Guard 57-27 on Tuesday in a girls basketball game at Wildcat Arena.

Casel had 13 points with Moore chipping in 12.

Kaitlynn Rhea led the Lady Guard with eight points.

Whitehouse (3-8) will next play in the Great East Texas Shootout beginning Thursday in Brownsboro.

The LadyCats are scheduled to play Malakoff at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the elementary school gym.

The Lady Guard are scheduled to play in the Frankston Tournament beginning Friday.

ATHENS - Mimi McCollister hit for 26 points to help the Athens Lady Hornets to a 79-33 win over the Elkhart Lady Elks on Tuesday in a girls basketball game.

McCollister added four assists and three steals as the Lady Hornets improved to 8-2 on the season.

Rae Rodriguez (12 points), Karlie Cook (10) and Kara Smith (9) were next in line for Athens.

Tamaya Hubbard had seven assists and Hallie Williams added seven steals for the Lady Hornets.

Athens will now compete in the Great East Texas Shootout beginning Thursday in Brownsboro. The Lady Hornets are scheduled to play All Saints at 8 a.m. at the intermediate school gym.

Canton 44, Grace Community 22

CANTON - The Canton Eaglettes connected on seven 3-pointers to overwhelm Grace Community 44-22 Tuesday in a non-district girls game.

Canton led 11-4 at the end of the first quarter and 22-10 at halftime.

Addie Daughtry paced Grace in the loss with 12 points while Canton was led by 11 points from Hannah Manry and 10 from Kenley Nixon.

Hawkins 40, New Diana 23

HAWKINS - The Hawkins Lady Hawks went on a 20-1 run to end the first half en route to a 40-23 victory over the New Diana Lady Eagles Tuesday.

Jaycee Cheshire and Alyssa Eddington each hit for 10 points to lead a Hawkins’ balanced scoring attack.

Eddington had a double-double by grabbing 11 rebounds. Cheshire added six boards.

Both Emily Hodges and Raeli Smith had nine rebounds apiece with Carolyn Searer adding eight boards. Christian Harris had six rebounds and teammate Harlie Conover contributed five steals.

Makayla Christy led New Diana (3-8) with 13 points.

Hawkins plays at Grand Saline at 6:15 p.m. Friday, while New Diana plays at Hughes Springs at 6 p.m. Friday.
