MESQUITE - John Tyler lost its second straight, a 69-46 setback to Mesquite Horn on Tuesday.

Shaakil Brown led all scorers with 19 for the Jaguars (11-9, 4-0), who remained unbeaten in District 11-6A.

The Lions (7-11, 1-3) were led by Ke’Andre Street’s 16 points, with Kadavion Key and Mashaud Moore each chipping in eight points.

“I think we started out with some fire, some motivation,” JT coach Cedeno Clark said. “It kind of got away from us in the third quarter basically.

“We’re just having a hard time scoring the ball right now. Just gotta keep battling.”
