HS Hoops Roundup, Feb. 1: Lindale, Mineola clinch district titles

NACOGDOCHES — The Lindale Lady Eagles roared past Nacogdoches in the fourth quarter for 65-48 victory on Friday night.

The win clinched the District 16-4A title for the Lady Eagles.

The Lady Eagles outscored the Lady Dragons 25-7 in the final frame to rally for the win.

Zhanelle Geathers and Neely Doss had 16 apiece for Lindale (24-5, 8-1 District 16-4A). Natasha Malone added 10.

Senior Charity Page led Nacogdoches with 21 points and 10 rebounds in her final home game.

In the boys game, Nacogdoches raced past Lindale 61-48 behind 19 points from Austin Williford and 12 from Jeron Garrett.

Mason Terry paced the Eagles with 21 points.
