Lindale girls stay unbeaten in district

LINDALE — Zhanelle Geathers hit for 20 points and Natasha Malone added 14 as the Lindale Lady Eagles downed the Corsicana Lady Tigers, 60-54, in a District 16-4A girls basketball game on Tuesday.
The Lady Eagles stayed unbeaten in district as the squad improved to 6-0.
In the boys game, Corsicana defeated Lindale 49-40.
Corsicana outscored Lindale 17-10 in the fourth quarter.
Mason Terry finished with 15 points (all from beyond the arc) to lead Lindale, which fell to 9-15 on the season and 0-4 in the district.
Mike Lewis scored 12 points to pace Corsicana, which improved to 21-6 overall and 2-2 in the league.
