MESQUITE — Robert E. Lee received balanced scoring in a runaway victory Friday over North Mesquite.

Ciara Johnson played in her first game since November, scoring 13 points. Tree Brooks also had 13 with Emem David (12), Erin Brinkley (8), Berjae Lewis (9) and DaJah Thompson (7) getting into the act.

Lee led 24-2 after the first period and went on from there to raise its District 12-5A record to 3-4.

“The kids just played hard tonight,” said Lee coach Lloyd Mahaffey. “They played together and did what they had to do to get a win.”
