No. 2 Dallas Madison tops JT boys


DALLAS β€” Dallas Madison opened up a big lead in the middle periods and held off John Tyler’s late charge to beat the Lions 94-83.

Six players posted double figures for Madison, ranked No. 2 in Class 3A behind Houston Yates.

JT (6-12) was led by a 31-point performance from Tuys Bowser. Isaac Warren (11 points), Greg Ward (10 points) and Hennessey Lampkin (10 points) also hit double digits for JT, which shaved 14 points off its deficit with a 32-point outburst in the fourth period.

The Lions open 16-4A play on Tuesday at Nacogdoches.
