HS Hoops Roundup, Dec. 11: Lady Raiders rout Rusk

Robert E. Lee made quick work of Rusk to enter District 12-5A play off a win.

The Lady Raiders received 19 points from DaJah Thompson and 19 from Berjae Lewis in a 54-35 victory.

Lee raised its record to 7-10 with its District 12-5A opener looming on Friday.

“I was pleased to get a win, but we’ve got a lot to work on,” Lee coach Lloyd Mahaffey said. How we played tonight won’t be enough go get wins in our district.

“We are going to look to increase our offensive productivity in practice this week so we are ready for North Mesquite on Friday.”

REL will face the Stallions at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Lee Varsity Gymnasium.
